Yesterday, looking at my twitter I was stunned to read the news that John Barry, the genius behind some of the soundtracks for major films, died of infarction. 77 years cut short by a heart that could not keep pace the mind of this man, one of the great composers of film. And close to my heart because of my childhood takes her music, thanks to a score that gave one of his 5 Oscar , with whom I played and danced for small and small that come to hear me very good memories . Someday tell the story of the 3 BSO's, but at another time.
Today I pay tribute to the teacher who gave a hallmark James Bond , and I can only do so with his music, his 5-deserved statuettes are and will be part of history (in capitals) Century movie XX.
1966 - Born Free (Born Free)
Two Oscars, for best song and best original score, support this touching story.
1968 - The Lion in Winter (The Lion in Winter)
1985 - Out of Africa (Out of Africa)
1990 - Bailando With Wolves (Dances with Wolves)
Farewell, master.
