Hagerstown, USA, September 4, 2009 (AFP) -
"People make fun of electric race cars. They call it golf, but not true.'re going to crush the Ferrari" Proud says Jo Reyes, a former race car mechanic-turned-electric cars.
A small crowd of onlookers and supporters met last weekend at the track 'dragsters' Mason-Dixon Maryland (east), to attend an unusual career: silent electric vehicles.
Twenty-drivers of electric vehicles from racing cars to tricycles or bikes, ran in front of a crowd more accustomed to the deafening noise that often accompanies the careers of 'dragsters'.
"We made a technical way, look at these Tesla" said Reyes, referring to the small electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla California.
